Keith Gunderson has won numerous prestigious awards, including Best In Show at the Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival in both 2018 and 2017, He currently teaches drawing and painting at the Woodstock School of Art, among them popular studio figure drawing class “The Expressive Figure” and has taught workshops, “Essential Plein Air”, “Plein Air to Studio”, “”Portrait in Clay, “”Sculpting the Ecorche”, and “Abstracting the Figure” at the Woodstock School of Art in Woodstock, NY, He also teaches the ongoing online figure drawing class via Zoom, “The Expressive Figure”. During Covid, he created and taught “Drawing for Communication” as an online class via Webex, for New York State DOCCS correctional facilities. Previously, he taught “Drawing for Communication” at the Ulster Correction facility in Napanoch, New York.
Keith Gunderson is a current and past member of the Salmagundi Club, Hudson Valley Art Association, Audubon Artists, and the Oil Painters of America. Exhibited widely, his drawings and paintings are in numerous private and corporate collections. Keith Gunderson studied with Frank Mason, David Leffel, Nelson Shanks, and Harvey Dinnerstein at the Art Students League of New York .
